BHARATHAM: Under Construction

 

Its finally happening; you can more than just feel Bharatham and talk about Bharatham and get ready for Bharatham now; you can actually see it!!

The stalls are already coming up along the pathways and you can see the construction going on in the center-garden; { this big flex implusing the bharathic feel..}I really wonder what it's gonna be like this time...I've heard it's gonna be really interesting how the designers gonna came up with wat designs.; of course I don't know for sure for I wasn't there with that team..anyways the decisions and suggestions are at top.;!!
But the part that got me the most excited of all is the stage already up in front of the big hostel ground, for Western Orchestra,Eastern and choreo eve...

!! I LOVED this shows in any college and its really awesome guys. don't know how this sounds to you people, I'm looking forward to it way more than any of the pro-shows..

For as I already mentioned before I think, that is 'my' college @ it's coolest ;)

Onam wit Bharatham...!!ArPpPpoOi

Onam is our state festival and this time we gonna spent with Bharatham... Onam Festival falls on the Malayalam month of Chingam (August – September).  This year, Onam 2009 celebrations starts from 23rd August 2009 and Thiruonam is celebrated on 2nd September 2009. As in our campus the roar for celebrations were bit too high..we too rocked the campus on the onam day...

i hope this enhanced the depth of Bharatham as well...

The various branches draw Onam Pookalam (also known as Athapookalam or Onapookkalam) in side their classrumz. Onam Pookalam is an intricate and colourful arrangement of flowers laid on the floor to welcome King Mahabali, the Asura king of ancient Kerala whose rule is said to be the golden era of Kerala.

As for Bharatham 2009 falls this sep 17th...this celebrations will nurture its fast growth and a celebration environment every where in college....

as the sponsors list is been cut shorted by days..the heat is gonna get better and better....!!!!!

The BHARATic FEEL

As the countdown towards BHARATHAM  proceeds more you get the feel of BHARATHAM.. Because Day after day you'll feel the positive change towards BHARATHAM.. It builds up as you go.. For certain people it might be the the practice they do for BHARATHAM, and for some may be the marketting and organising work they do. They'll be happy during Bharatham to perform and to make a successful BHARATHAM..

But I tell ya there is a people who can enjoy the maximum. Its really the first years. First thing is they are always the free to be at any part of BHARATHAM.. a freedom just for them since in future they'll have their responsibilities to be taken care of. Then why they are more lucky is that, they come out and do a lot of PAD work. I was not talking about excitement of working in hand with seniors during the nights before BHARATHAM, I was talking about their work that will form part of a BAHRATHAM. When once during BHARATHAM, when you walk through the college, somewhere you find something done by you beautifully hanging around and being rated "Oh! Nice Work" is a great feeling.

. The excitements exponential curve has begun its steep rise. Now i was talking about RAGAM rather than BHARATHAM2009. Whats so different this time when you see BHARATHAM? I will tell you this time, the excitement is at least a ten or twenty fold already. It will be around a hundred fold in the next few days. If you ask why, I'll tell you this time the intracollege publicity team has pulled off an awesome work. Never before you did see any clue of BHARATHAM other than the different year orientations. This time what you see is sides of the  notice board filled with BHARATHAM Stuffs ,the IDEA BOX ..etcThere was never an announcement saying BHARATHAM is next week, because iys known.. . No wonder the feel is so high.

Bharatham '09 is here......

The Spirit of Bharatham

Bhratham, the inter-college arts fest of FISAT has always been an extravagant celebration of creative spirit. It is the grand culmination of the four basic essences of any art and Bharatham 2009 stays true to all four of them-Bhava, Raga, Thala and Melam equally.



Bhava: The emotion and its expression.
Every artist is driven by deep-set emotions and feelings. These feelings when expressed, manifest themselves as the beauty that we call art. Bharatham 2009 is a tribute to this indomitable Bhava in every artist.


Raga: The melody.
At the core of all music is melody. Without melody, there is no music, only noise. Similarly, every art-form has at its core, a Raga. Bharatham 2009 strives to bring out this Raga through the vivid incarnations of art.


Thala: The rhythm.
From the regular beat of a heart to the rhythmic thump of raindrops, nature is full of Thala. Ever since humans learnt to express themselves, Thala has been an integral part of all art. Bharatham 2009 resonates with this Thala throughout.


Melam: The celebration.
The blending of Bhava, Raga and Thala on a massive scale could result in nothing less than an explosion of creativity. The celebration of this creativity, the Melam of art, is Bharatham 2009.

This September, Bharatam 2009 is coming to FISAT!

At last... New Principal came Dr Sreejith...
Couldn't meet him yeterday...

We went to meet him with our new revised budget of 10 lacs and plans for "How to make sponsorship..."

We got the permission... the date is fixed its On September 17...

Called quickly Evergreen, Vivek, Olive Booked their dates.....

Hoooo.... Lots to do now... Have to convince a lot, Then Money... Juniors, the himalyan tasks... are ahead...

Wow!!!!!!! im excited now....

We need a lot of committees now... lots of volunteers... Have to be quick... only 1.5 months ahead now...

Birth of Bharatham : The wait...

At last!!!
Archana miss is with us... Pailo paul sir is ok... mngmnt is ok... but nobody is very supportive other than Archana miss... They told us to create a rough budget today... Our dreams flew high... and the budget reached 13 lacs... and v went to meet chairman, with our plan on how to make 13 lacs.....

just after a glance on the budget sheet he folded it and gave it back to us... then came dialouge..
"See u r kids, u dream big. its not ur fault. But be practical. 13 lacs now is impossible... don't u know recession is going on.. nobody will give u money........... i dont think even PTA will give u money...............

.... u show this to principal also..."

So after the disastrous meeting with the chairman we pulled ourself to Principal's room... The lightness, the energy all gone now... even the legs seemed so heavy that it was so hard to move...

" Sir, Budget, Bharatham, Chairman said, show u....."
a pause "13 Lacs!!!!!!....... get real..... i can't sanction u it now... new principal will come soon... u better ask him..............................."


So it was overall a negative day... ;) The hope is on new principal now...

Birth of Bharatham : The Check up!!!

Tomorrow!!!

The college Reopens.... the new sem... only one more year...

im back at the great pampady... everyone's here... pugg, tyson, masthan, maran, mooshik, nidheesh. and v miss ijjkka.. anyway v r back... v r celebrating... there's only one more year... The final Showdown... Tomorro evrybody will be back.... gr8!!!!!!

But tomorrow class... oh gosh... the boring lectures.....

Yeah Bharatham..... tomorrow itself v must ask Archana miss and Antu sir......

oh... its time, im going... its somebody's birthday tomorrow... i need to call and wish...

Birth of bharatham: The pain

There's a supply exam tomorrow... im (not) studying.
Renjith is watching some movie(he don't have exam tomorrow).
Oh gosh i too wanna see that movie... ooof!!! the temptation...

But it is another thought that is tempting me more... its 'Bharatham'.

The university exam will be over this week, after some month we are final years... if not now, then never...

Im getting crazy ideas.... ideas for competitions, ideas for sponsorship, ideas for posters, ideas for publicity, ideas for... i donno... wat the heck is with me...

i called renjith, told him about these crazy ideas im getting... He turned out to be evn more crazier tan me...

well dude v definitely need our bharatham clean from cliches...
But dude v can't remove Dance, Rock, Fashion show and all that easy...
Ya still let those some be there, but we need majority of the items to be original...

Hey can v arrange sponsorship? this is recession time na? Well think... whom has recession didn't struck very bad...

i think telecomcompanies didn't had much problem with recession, there's new companies coming each day virgin, MTS, Aircel, and i hear tata too is launching some GSM... i think these pp, will have money.. mmm... lets try...

Have u seen the last Bharatham's stage... It was huge dude... on the football ground... we definitely need bigger stage and bigger events on it...

Dude, We must bring back bharatham, the day the college open itself u must ask archana miss. k... And afterall dude its a good way to bunk classes "offifially" no.. ;)

That nite went on till we tossed off some time in the morning... and no wonder i missed the exam... and later i went on to create this blog...

Thus started the Pain of Bharatham
